After some research I've discovered it's from a series called "Goddamn" from back in the 90's. It's a 2 part OVA. It personally doesn't look all that great but then again I don't like Initial D.

I watched stage one. I just dislike the characters so much! The only exceptions being Takumi and his dad. But two characters can't pull a show alone!

Also I'm not too much of a fan of action anime. I like stuff like Serial Experiments Lain, Evangelion, and Paranoia Agent. Psychological stuff.

Yeah, I remember your fondness for halo. The characters really mature throughout the series, so much so that the first stage is ages different than the later ones, you should watch them!

Well

Neon Genesis Evangelion (tv series to ep.24, end of eva, ep. 25&26, then the rebuild movies (1.11, 2.22, and 3.33)) honestly dosen't get too good till the last 1/3 of the tv show, but when it gets good, IT'S GOOD. Also you will be annoyed with Shinji, this is normal, you're suppose to hate him.

Spice and Wolf, I don't even feel like I need to explain my reasoning on that.

Fate/Zero, action anime at it's finest and probably from a critical standpoint, one of the best anime ever made.

Penguindrum, what I consider to be the best anime of all time. Though very weird and really requires to be viewed twice to really understand what is going on. Actually you could put Evangelion in that category as well.

Any movies by Satoshi Kon, my favorites being paprika and tokyo god fathers.

Psycho pass is a futuristic cop drama that's really good.

Black Lagoon, AWESOME action series! I love this damn show!

Code Geass

Tekkonkinkrit (movie is also pretty good.

Attack on titan!

I'll also link to my "My Anime" page that has every single show I've ever watched with my scores next to them. Now I've gotten much harsher now that I've seen a lot but anything in the 8 to 10 range (some 7s) is pretty much recommended by me.

Here you go, just ignore Baka and Test though, I don't know why I rated it so high. Also I'm recommending Evangelion, Spice and Wolf, and Fate/Zero above everything else.
